The HBIC: Katie Boyd
I am the proud owner of KBMFC (Katie Boyd’s Miss Fit Club), a global wellness brand that includes a best-selling book, top-rated podcast, global wellness app, and an all-women wellness center in Hudson, New Hampshire. I am also a business coach who helps women hybridize and scale their businesses from brick-and-mortar spaces to personalized online centers poised to multiply wealth by six and seven figures. All this carefully cultivated and designed to expand space in my clients’ lives for what truly matters: Family, friends, time, and joy. My deepest desire is to help my business mentorship clunets have what I have coined the triple threat of freedom. Time, location and fiancial.
I have dedicated over two decades to the education of women across the globe, teaching them how to apply my unique lifestyle methodology to transform their lives. I am an expert in the health and wellness space and have served as an official coach for the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss America pageants for over a decade. I began that journey after retiring from pageantry in 2004, after earning the titles of Miss Taunton, New Bedford, Fall River, and Bristol County in the Miss America pageant system. Competing in scholarship pageants allowed me to not only accumulate thousands of hours of community service and awards that paid for college degrees and certifications, it also ingrained courage and a deep desire to serve.
I’m also a TV personality, featured on The Dr. Oz Show, Oprah, and my own reality series, Wicked Fit, which aired on E!, Bravo, and The Style Network. Through that, I am well-versed in effective messaging, being a confident voice and savvy communicator, and an expert in marketing, branding, and front-facing media.
As for my personal life, it’s busy and happy. Married to the love of my life, Matthew Babine, I am proud of what we’re building together. Matt is, by day, a leading figure at one of the largest privately-owned healthcare companies in the country specializing in sleep medicine, and by night, a two-time world champion martial artist and owner of a thriving martial arts school in Hudson, New Hampshire. Dedicated to children with special needs, teaching anti-bullying techniques, and creating future leaders, Matt has built a reputation of excellence. We have an 8 year-old pink-faced Boston Terrier named Pearl, our much-loved fur baby.
I have joyfully assisted in raising my 26 year-old stepdaughter, Karina, whom I adopted when she was 13. Karina spearheads one of my companies, KB Media, and runs the technical and marketing branches of our family businesses. A graduate of Boston University’s Questrom Business School, Karina is among the brightest young women I know.
My deep passion for giving back has inspired me to fundraise millions of dollars for organizations that make a difference, including The Home for Little Wanderers, in Boston, Massachusetts, which is particularly dear to my family, as it housed my husband before he was adopted in 1967. I have also donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and scholarships to my own Miss KBMFC Pageant titleholders. I am proud to participate in community events and have logged tens of thousands of hours in service, and continue to make appearances on TV, radio, and podcasts, and for interviews in newspapers and magazines. I fully embrace the role of a trusted public figure. I am also the president of the Women's Service Club of Windham, New Hampshire which promotes fellowship among local women and supports our community through scholarship fundraising and giving back to local people and organizations in need.
While my life and career may appear glamorous, let me assure you it has been anything but. Everything I have achieved has been guided by a fire in my soul and purpose in my heart to help others with the abilities I’ve cultivated through sheer will. I grew from humble beginnings in Taunton, Massachusetts, and had it not been for my family, close-knit community, volunteers, and mentors, I would not be what I am today.Through my family and caregivers I built a core of strength and integrity that guides me daily. Everything instilled in me then, and supported by my family now, defines my path forward. It never mattered where I was from, only that I had the drive, fight, and desire to be everything I ever dreamed I could be.
With gratitude,
Katie Boyd-Babine
