What makes me happy?

What makes me happy?

December 21st, 2020 was the grand conjunction of the planets, Saturn and Jupiter.

Many astrologists claim that this conjunction was actually the sacred star that the Magi followed when Jesus was born 2,500 hundred years ago. The star, they claimed, led them to the manger where Jesus laid with his earthbound parents. The Star of Bethlehem that was spoken of in the Gospel of Matthew was actually not a star at all, but the perfect alignment of these two planets in our solar system creating one very large beacon in the night sky.

Many people in the woowoo space that I have come to find myself aligning with for the last decade say that this Star of Bethlehem is actually the portal to enter into a new dimension of 5D consciousness. Some say it is “day one” that ushers us into the Age of Aquarius.

What does all this mean to me, you may ask?

Well, I can only speak from what I have been experiencing since this unique cosmic phenomenon took place. So here it is.

I woke up the morning December 22, 2020, made my French pressed coffee and sat by the fireplace. It was still dark, the sun was just peeking out behind the snow covered evergreens in my front yard and I looked out the window with a blank stare. Suddenly this voice said to me, “When was the last time you actually looked out the window in the morning and watched the sun rise in all of its glory?”

I quickly telepathically responded, “In like, well, forever.”

If you know me, and you really know me, you know I revel in anything that has to do with the sky. Meteor showers, full moons, new moons, clouds, sunrises, sunsets, you name it.

But for so long, I have not cared or even given it any thought whatsoever. This was perplexing to me. If something brings me so much joy then why am I not taking advantage of it? I mean, it is wondrous and it makes me really, really happy.

So I sat down with my notebook and started writing. I titled the top of the page, “What makes me happy?” In the matter of thirty minutes I had written down one hundred and fifty items. As I gleaned over the list after I felt like I was exhausted for the moment, I realized that out of all of the things I wrote I was only doing 4 of them on an ongoing basis. FOUR! Are you kidding?

The Queen of Ambitchiousland. The woman who literally preaches to everyone to live the rest of their lives the best of their lives is only doing four out of one hundred and fifty items that make her happy, joyful and content.

The four I am doing (please don’t judge!) are:

One: Empowering women all over the world to live life Ambithciously.
Two: Cleaning..I am Portuguese, give me a break.
Three: Hanging out with Pearl.
Four: Sleeping in clean sheets. (Don’t you just love that feeling? So amazing!)

Listen, I am going to stop here for one second and say I know we are in a global pandemic. I know we are in the middle of the craziest election our country has ever seen. I know we are in the midst of serious social issues that are literally life and death.

But, I still have my own precious human life and I am wasting it on doing things all day that make me feel pressured, overwhelmed, stuck, depressed, anxious and energetically heavy. The opposite of my core desired feelings.

So, as I say to all of the ladies who I mentor and coach from all across the globe. No one is coming to save you, bitch. Only you can save you.

So, I am holding my magic mirror up to my makeup-free-mug right now and I am telling myself the exact same thing. Katie, no one is coming to save you. Only you can save you. With that being said, I vow that 2021 is the year with no goals. The only desire I have is this: Do something everyday that is on my What Makes Me Happy list.

And guess what? I am going to share my journey with you and I would also like for you to do this exercise with me.

Sit down with a fresh, clean new notebook, piece of pretty paper or new journal and write at the top of the page this question. What makes me happy? Then just free write. Then vow to do at least one thing from your list everyday, even if it seems silly or frivolous.

In Matthew 18:3 he says, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven.”

Lady, heaven is here, just as hell is here. It is what we make out of our quiet and simplest of moments that helps us feel holy and rapturous.
